For just a small fee, age-appropriate and ability-driven D.I.Y Individualised Early Intervention (IEI) activities will be sent to your account about once every 3 weeks (i.e. one intervention activity for each subscribed learning domain) which you will be notified though Email.

E.g. Subscription WITHOUT any additional learning domains other than the TOP 3 RECOMMENDED LEARNING DOMAINS:
  • 1 intervention activity X 3 learning domains
  • Total = 3 intervention activities will be received about once every 3 weeks
10. How frequent should I carry out the D.I.Y IEI with my child?

BEE recommends at least twice or thrice weekly. Higher frequency of more than 3 times per week is recommended for better progress and for more severe needs. You may conduct the sessions continuously for 3 weeks or more (and as and when needed for revisits).

11. What is the duration needed?

BEE recommends 10-20 minutes for each activity. The entire intervention session should not exceed 1 hour. Be flexible to vary according to your child’s ability and attention span. Remember that higher frequency results in better progress than long duration.

12. Must I update my child’s progress after each session?

In order to monitor and keep track of your child’s learning progress effectively, BEE highly recommends parent(s) / caregiver(s) to log in and update your remarks. With the remarks, BEE can generate a Free Graphical Summary Report for you to keep.

13. Is my child’s info kept confidential?

All information will be harvested for research. However, no child will be named specifically unless with your written permission. The goal is to use the data to hopefully help the current and future generations of children, especially those with learning difficulties and Learning Disabilities. For example, research and writings on Asian children are currently limited.

By using our FREE Online Learning Assessment (OLA) and / or subscribing to our D.I.Y IEI on BEE, you have agreed to letting us use any data for research and related purposes. We thank you in advance for being part of a greater effort.

14. What if I am unable to get suitable or similar material(s) suggested for the intervention activities?

It is not necessary to use the exact material(s) suggested. Get creative and use what you have at home to replace some of the required materials.

For example, you can fill a deflated balloon with flour to make a stress ball.

15. I am not sure if my child can do some of the activities?

Please consult a doctor, psychologist, speech or occupational therapist (whoever is relevant) before implementing any recommended intervention activities with your child, especially where physical tasks are required. External Early Intervention Specialist / Educational Therapist input is highly recommended.

The responsibility lies with the parent(s) / caregiver(s) who is conducting the D.I.Y IEI activities.

Adult supervision is advised throughout the entire course of intervention activities.

16. Is D.I.Y IEI effective?

For your child to receive early intervention with our Early Intervention Specialist (EIS) is of course, the most effective. The effectiveness of the D.I.Y Individualised Early Intervention (IEI) depends on several factors such as the frequency of intervention, ability to carry out the guided activities diligently and effectively, your rapport with the child and your realistic expectations.

17. How can I be better equipped?

You may attend our professional training workshops available periodically. Alternatively, you may organize and engage us to conduct training for your circle of participants at yours or our premises.
